Does MusicFloss take any ownership of our music or content?
Absolutely not. Anything that you upload to your website is yours and can be removed at any time. Our job is to help you get it out into the world.
Do you take a cut from sales?
No, you will always keep 100% of the proceeds from your sales. The funds go directly from fans to your PayPal account.
Is the new MusicFloss going to cost money?
We will be asking all artists new to MusicFloss to pay monthly dues to support the platform. However, as a big thanks for all of your support as a beta artist, we'll be offering a permanent “Pay What You Want” option, so you can continue to use everything for free or pay what you can, if you value what you get out of the site.
Can I use my own domain name?
You can indeed use your own domain and we encourage it! Sign into your artist account and click “Account Settings” in the navigation row. Then on the sidebar click “Domain” and follow the guide on that page.
Can I sell physical merchandise (t-shirts, vinyl, etc.) through the new platform?
Eventually you'll be able to, and we won't take a cut from your sales for that, either. However, this is a HUGE feature, and it'll take us some time to implement. In the meantime, we have made it easy for you to link to a third party site if you have one.
How do I cancel my account?
There are two ways to easily cancel your MusicFloss account:
1) In our launch email we provided a link that asked you to opt in/out of the new MusicFloss platform. Simply “opt out” on that form and we'll delete your account. 2) Alternatively, just email us at support@musicfloss.com with the request.
